Warehouse Supervisor

Johns Manville, (Industrial Insulation Group) is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for shipping, receiving, and warehouse functions for the Phenix City Alabama Plant. The Phenix City, AL plant houses mineral wool melt technology supporting one board production line and eight pipe production units.
Responsibilities:
o Must exhibit strong leadership skills in safety and warehouse functions, salaried and hourly employee management/leadership, and in providing superior service to our customers
o Effectively manage the Shipping and Warehouse which involves 100-150 inbound and outbound trucks per week
o Manage team's effectiveness with building strong team work
o Supervise hourly employees in multi-shift operation
o Create a culture where everybody embraces quality of service as a priority
o Investigate service complaints for non-conformances and/or improvement in service quality which will include a discussion with managers and/or loaders involved for corrective action on future loads
o Create and lead a team that is passionate about working safely, every day
o Must exhibit strong leadership skills in safety and performance, and be able to hold people accountable
o Ability to motivate and provide leadership and mentoring to employees and create a culture that supports high employee morale
o Identify, lead and direct the development and implementation of shipping work instructions/procedures to ensure consistent practices
o Candidate must be able to effectively manage warehouse layouts and efficient use of space
o Ensure the safety of self and others by complying with all policies, procedures and licenses
o Ensure all metrics and reports are completed and communicated in a timely manner
o Conduct safety audits
o Lead EHS training and awareness programs for department
Requirements:
o 4
years' experience in managing shipping and warehouse.
o 2
years proven ability in managing employees.
o History of working effectively across multiple functions including customer service.
o Demonstrated ability to meet quality and service requirements
o Previous experience in managing safety compliance and engagement
o Proficient in Microsoft office software- (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
o Proven leadership capabilities
o Proven experience in creating an effective work team
o Demonstrated communication skills with all levels of employees
o Demonstrated ability to hold people accountable
o Ability to drive between plant locations (3 miles)
Additional consideration given for:
o College degree preferred AA/AS Degree
o Experience with SAP/ERP/ADP
o Experience with planning and scheduling activities
o Proven ability to efficiently organize and manage warehouse space
o Experience in managing to a union contract/employees and handling grievances
o Process improvement tools such as Lean /Six Sigma

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
